about us
THERAPY IN COLORADO
Why work with
McCullough Family Therapy?
This is your space to be you.
When you feel safe, supported, and heard – you’re going to feel comfortable sharing the experiences, history, and situations that brought you to our door.
Connection with your therapist leads to an openness that allows us to get clear on why your relationships follow a pattern of behavior that doesn’t give you what you need.
In creating a safe space for you to explore your thoughts without fear of judgment, we can open the door to real change.
We provide therapy that is:
Collaborative
Our commitment is to guide you toward the transformation you desire. To ensure you receive the best possible care, our clinicians work together, combining unique insights and expertise.
Safe
Experienced
Our experienced clinicians tailor their approach to you, considering your needs, goals, and personality, using the modalities that best fit your situation.

How our therapy works

We get to know your story
We help you understand your experiences and the challenges you’re facing. We look at how your early relationships have influenced who you are today and how you connect with yourself and the people around you.

We walk alongside you
As we understand the challenges you’re facing, we get clear on what’s most important to you. We provide you with the tools and strategies you can use to start making progress toward your goals.

We coach you every step of the way
Throughout our sessions, we reassess your progress and make adjustments to make sure we are staying on track with your goals and taking steps toward living a better life.
What are your fees?
Our fees vary depending on the therapist and their experience. Please call our office at 303-551-9214 if you would like to find out what a therapist’s fee is or if you would like to find out about our sliding scale sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Therapy is a commitment that is only effective when all parties (both the client and the therapist) are consistent and dedicated to engaging in it regularly. We reserve your session time solely for you and ask that you make your therapy sessions a priority.
We require that you provide notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled session time. If you do not inform us of the need to cancel an appointment within this time frame, you will be charged the full session fee.
How do I get started?
That’s a great question! The first place to start is with a consultation. You can read through our therapists’ bios to see who would be the best fit for you, or you can call our office at 303-551-9214 and our office staff can help you decide on the right therapist.
Once you have your consultation, if it feels like the right fit for you and your needs, you will schedule an appointment with your therapist. We recommend that you start with weekly sessions and then taper off as therapy progresses. If, after the consultation, you don’t feel that the therapist is the right fit for you, then the therapist can set you up with a consultation with another therapist within our group or provide a referral to a therapist outside of our group who would be a better fit.
Therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable with your therapist. Not every therapist is going to be right for every client, so whether it is personality, skills, or training, we want to find the best fit for you.
Do you accept insurance?
We are considered out-of-network providers with insurance. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, we have partnered with Mentaya to help you submit claims to your insurance provider. Instead of providing you with a superbill that you take to your insurance for reimbursement, Mentaya will submit the sessions and handle everything with your insurance company to make sure you are reimbursed. You can check your out-of- network benefits here.
We are not a Medicaid provider and cannot work with you if you have Medicaid benefits.
