What Makes This Internship Different?

Because we are a small group practice, interns often receive:

At times, you may be the only intern in the practice which many students find allows for more focused learning and stronger clinical growth.

Interns are supervised by Athena McCullough, LPC, LMFT, who provides relationally grounded guidance, clinical support, and mentorship throughout the internship experience. Supervision focuses on helping interns develop confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and build a sustainable therapeutic identity while working with real clients in a private practice setting.

Who We're Looking For

We tend to be a strong match for interns who:

  • Value connection, curiosity, and relational therapy
  • Are self-motivated and comfortable with independence
  • Want experience in a private practice setting
  • Are eager to learn and collaborate as part of a small team

Important Details

To help you determine if this is the right fit:

  • This is an unpaid internship: We are unable to provide compensation at this time.
  • School Partnerships: We are currently unable to accept students from Regis University.*
  • This placement is best suited for students who feel comfortable in smaller, relationship-based practice environments.

*Athena currently teaches at Regis University and due to school policy, is unable to also be an internship site supervisor.
