Complex Trauma
When life’s intensity rises, it’s easy to feel stuck. You may find yourself repeatedly having the same argument with your partner, getting into the same familiar power struggle with your child, or getting swept up into the same cycle of anxious or negative thoughts. It seems like no matter how hard you try, it feels impossible to communicate your inner thoughts to those around you, and you end up feeling unheard and unseen. You may feel like no matter how hard you try, you’re repeating the same patterns, struggling to communicate, or wondering why relationships feel so difficult.
Whether you resonate with some or all of the above, know that you are not alone. Our earliest relationships shape the way we experience connection, conflict, and emotional safety. Those patterns show up most strongly in the relationships that matter to us the most.
In therapy, we’ll slow those patterns down and get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface. Instead of deciding who is “right” or “wrong,” we’ll work to understand the emotions, needs, and experiences driving the conflict. Together, we can identify the cycles keeping you stuck and build new ways of communicating, connecting, and responding to one another.
My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Structural Family Therapy, with influences from Narrative Therapy. This means we may explore attachment and emotional bonds, patterns and roles within your family, and the stories you’ve come to believe about yourself and your relationships. I believe that people are not the problem, but the patterns that develop between us are often where we need to begin.
Whether you’re navigating disconnection in your relationship, recurring conflict, parenting challenges, a major family transition, or simply feeling like your family has lost its way with one another, my goal is to help you better understand what’s happening between you and those you love to create more secure, connected, and attuned relationships.
We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.

What Brings Me a Sense of Ease
I live for slowing down at home with my husband and our two young daughters. A home-cooked meal followed by wandering around the garden is my perfect kind of evening!
